GSA Homecoming Golf Tournament

The team to beat: (l-r) Brett Ingraham ‘14, Ron Allen ‘58, John Bannister, and Adam Gray ‘94 won the morning session of GSA’s Homecoming golf tournament last year. The event has been renamed the Duane B. Gray ‘64 Memorial Golf Tournament in memory of Adam’s father, Duane, an avid golfer and GSA alumnus and supporter.

George Stevens Academy invites alumni and friends to take part in its third annual Homecoming Weekend from Friday, September 27, through Sunday, September 29. The weekend offers alumni-focused activities and events for community members, the school announced in a news release.

Homecoming activities include a “Golden Eagles” luncheon on Friday in honor of alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago, soccer games on Friday and Saturday, an Alumni Reception at Millbrook Company Bakery & Restaurant in Sedgwick on Saturday, a Fine Art Show featuring alumni artwork on Saturday and Sunday, the Great Pumpkinfest 4K road race on Sunday morning, and the inaugural Duane B. Gray ‘64 Memorial Golf Tournament at Blue Hill Country Club on Sunday.

All community members are invited to an opening reception for the Alumni Fine Art Show on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to noon in GSA’s Science Wing. Alumni artists featured in the show this year include Karyl (Ricker) Hayes ‘60, Linda (Ricker) MacLeod ‘63, Ben Gross ‘79, Penny Ricker ‘82, Julie Jo Fehrle ‘85, Jennifer (Raiten) Jacobi ‘87, Samantha (Stanko) Jones ‘92, Dan Bouthot ‘00, Robin Rioux ‘06, and Erinn Damon ‘09. Artwork offered for sale will benefit GSA’s Annual Fund.
