Castine Independence Day 2012
Though the streets were still slick from a light rain, spirits were high for Castine’s annual children’s parade on Independence Day. Children and families delighted spectators with costumes ranging from the traditional red-white-and-blue to firefighter, a family circus and a game of “Clue.” Even a little piglet made the trek. Activities post-parade included the classic sack race, the tug-of-war and a blueberry pie eating contest. Photos by Anne Berleant.
