A comet for the centuries
This past week the night sky has hosted the astronomical viewing event of a lifetime, literally. Comet NEOWISE, discovered in March, won’t appear again near Earth for at least 6,800 years, according to NASA. Tuesday may have been the last chance to see the comet locally before it hurtles off into space, as clouds are predicted through the weekend. Comet NEOWISE is pictured here in the skies over North Blue Hill on Tuesday evening.
