Monkey River village was hit hard by Hurricane Iris in 2001. Since then, a group of islanders led by Ted Hoskins has offered assistance to the community year after year. Susan Scott, pictured, while not a participant in this latest trip, is a regular traveler to the village and works with the children on a variety of projects.
