Invitation to Bid
The Brooksville School Committee is accepting bids on the following project:

Tearing down and replacing three classroom and one bathroom ceiling; work to include demolition and debris removal; replacing with new materials and restoring current lighting fixtures.

If interested, please call 374-9927 for a copy of the specifications. For access to school to inspect scope of work, please contact Todd Nelson, Principal at 326-8500.

Bids should be placed in a sealed envelope marked “Brooksville Elementary School - Classroom Renovation Project - 2015” and submitted by 3 p.m. on or before Friday, May 1, 2015. Superintendent of Schools' Office, PO Box 630, Blue Hill, ME 04614

Bids will be opened at the Monday, May 4, 2015 school committee meeting at 5 p.m.

The Brooksville School Committee reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

The project should be accomplished by August 15, 2015.


Deer Isle-Stonington CSD #13 is seeking 3 separate bids for mowing grass at the Deer Isle-Stonington High School, Deer Isle-Stonington Elementary School and athletic fields from the start of the mowing season to June 15 (Spring season), from June 15 to August 31 (Summer season) and from September 1 to the end of mowing season in the fall (Fall season). Interested parties may contact the Superintendent’s Office at 207-348-9100 for bid sheets. The School Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to accept other than the low bid in the best interest of the schools. Aquaculture Lease Renewal Public Comment Period

The Commissioner is considering an application to renew for ten years to May 29, 2025, a 38-acre lease, PEN SN3, located in Penobscot Bay, east of Stinson Neck, Deer Isle, Maine, held by Acadia Aqua Farms, LLC for the purposes of cultivating blue mussels using bottom culture techniques.

The lessee would be bound by the terms and conditions of the existing lease. A public hearing is not required unless requested by five (5) or more interested persons. Written comments or requests for a hearing, including a statement of the reasons for the request, must be submitted on or before April 30, 2015 to the address below.
