Deer Isle-Stonington Historical Society Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 8, in the Island Heritage Trust Barn, Route 15A in Sunset. The business meeting will be held at 6 p.m., followed by a presentation at 6:30. Jamie Rice of the Maine Historical Society will discuss “World War I and the Maine Experience.” All are welcome.

The Stonington Public Works crew will be replacing cross culverts on the Airport Crossroad commencing the week of July 17 and July 24, 2017. One lane traffic will be maintained as much as possible and there may be short delays during the installation of the new culverts.
