New staff
Mary Bridgham, Special Services Director. Born and raised in England, Mary arrived stateside with husband and three children in 1986, and states, “I am a lifelong learner and would like to help your children recognize that there is always learning to be done, and not necessarily in the classroom.” She looks forward to helping all students, and the parents and community, as needed. Her favorite ways to relax are swimming, reading, sewing, fishing, crafts, painting, spending time with her grandchildren and husband.

New programs
Students will work with local author Ellen Booraem, and also with Edible Island and food preparation and nutrition. Boat-building program will continue.

_Meals
Student lunch, $3, adult, $7; student breakfast, $1.75, adult, $2.50. Free and reduced cost meal applications are available at the school, no charge for reduced-cost meals. First week’s menu:

Tuesday: beef taco and fixings, veggies, rice, cucumbers, pears, milk; Wednesday: spaghetti and meatballs, biscuit, green beans, peaches, milk. Thursday: baked beans, hot dog/roll, coleslaw, mixed fruit, milk; Friday; pizza w/ choice of toppings, salad, cookies, milk.

Bus A, Eyleen: Nut-free bus. 6:50 Hales Wood Rd.; 6:53 Bay Rd.; 7 Harriman Point Rd.; 7:06 Flye Point Rd.; 7:10 Old County Rd.; 7:20 Leaving Old County Rd.; 7:23 arrive at school; 7:25 Head to GSA, picking up GSA and Harbor School students.

Bus B, Jerry: Nut-free bus. 6:45 High St.; 6:53 River Rd.; 6:58 Reach Rd.; 7:01 Folly Rd.; 7:13 turn at end of Naskeag Point; 7:21 Pooduck Rd.; 7:25 arrive at school; 7:30 head to DISHS with high school students.
