Contested school board races in Blue Hill, Brooklin

The deadline to file nomination papers for local elections has passed in Blue Hill, Brooklin and Surry, with contested school board races in Blue Hill and Brooklin. The following candidates will appear on voting ballots come town meeting time:

Blue Hill
Tina Allen, Candace Gray, and incumbent Ben Wootten: school board, three-year term, two open seats. Jim Lacasse is not seeking reelection.
Vaughn Leach, incumbent: selectman, three-year term.
Mary Alice Hurvitt: planning board, three-year term, three open seats. Danner Curtis, Adam Gray and Sarah King are not seeking reelection.
Bill Cousins, incumbent: road commissioner, two-year term.
Voting is on Friday, April 6, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at town hall.

Brooklin
Frank Bianco and Paige Morse, incumbents, and Robert Cowart: school board, three-year term, two open seats.
Bill Cohen, incumbent: selectman, three-year term.
Neil Allen, incumbent: road commissioner, one-year term.
Tammy Andrews, incumbent: treasurer, three-year term.
Voting is on Friday, April 6, 2-8 p.m. at the town office.

Surry
Bill Matlock, incumbent: selectman, three-year term.
Michelle Berger, incumbent: school board, three-year term.
Voting is on Friday, April 20, 8 a.m.-8 p.m., at the town office.
