The Blue Hill Consolidated School held its 8th Grade Graduation on Friday, June 15. Principal Shelly Schildroth who gave a welcome address to a nearly full house described the class of 2018 as smart, funny, talented, passionate and kind. Schildroth’s address was followed by a message from class officers Renee Amado, Colby Lacasse, Molly Jennings and Gabriel Hall. Kat Hudson and Nel Herrmann presented a message to the class, recognizing each 8th grader and their unique individual qualities. Music was performed by the BHCS 8th grade band and “7/8’s Jazz Band Plus.” Each 8th grade student wrote, illustrated and bound their own children’s storybooks, which were played at the ceremony. Two of these books were selected to be recorded and shown to those in attendance after diplomas were awarded.
