First day: Pre-K-8th grade, Tuesday, September 4.
School hours: 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; classes begin 8 a.m. and end at 2:40 p.m.
Pre-K is five days a week; preschoolers may ride the bus to school, and participate in the meals program.

Meals

Breakfast, $1; reduced, no charge. Lunch, $2.65; reduced, $.40. Extra milk $.30. Adults: Breakfast, $1.75; lunch, $9.85. Information on free and reduced meals will be sent home with students on the first day of school.
First week’s menu:
Tuesday: Breakfast: Pancakes; lunch: Chop suey, yeast roll, veggie, fruit, milk.
Wednesday: breakfast: cereal, toast; lunch: chicken quesadilla, veggie fruit, milk.
Thursday: Breakfast: Breakfast pizza; lunch: Baked fish, seasoned rice, veggie, fruit, milk.
Friday: Breakfast: Cereal, toast; lunch: Hamburger, wedges, veggie, fruit, milk.

Buses

All elementary students will be transported to their designated stop on their scheduled bus unless a note, email or call has been made to the school by a parent of the child.

For high school students: Busing will begin on Tues., Sept. 4. A bus will run to Deer Isle-Stonington High School in the morning and afternoon. Parents can call the school for more information. Busing to GSA will remain the same as it was last year, with pickup at 2:30 p.m. We require a call or note from a parent before a child may go to another home. Guests of high school students need permission in order to ride the Brooksville bus. Parents need to call the Brooksville Elementary School to give permission.

Morning routes (same as last year): Teresa Crosby will pick up students on the Coastal and Bagaduce Roads. Chuck Dodge will pick up students on Cape Rosier and Varnumville Road. Both buses will arrive at the school by 7:30 a.m.

Afternoon routes (same as last year): Teresa Crosby will pick up GSA students at 2:30 p.m. and then return to Brooksville for dismissal at 3 p.m. Chuck will pick up DISHS students at 2:30 p.m. and return to Brooksville for 3 p.m. dismissal.
