George Stevens Academy spring sports teams wound up their regular season, and all have qualified for post-season tournaments, except for softball. The girls could still edge into the final spot after the final games played on June 4; team standings were not available by press time.

Track—Members from the boys and girls teams head to Southern Maine for the state championships on Saturday, June 7. Both the boys and girls teams placed first at the Hancock County Small School Meet on May 23 and third (boys) and ninth (girls) at the PVCs one week later.

Standout performances at the PVCs include a first-place finish by Erik Taylor-Lash in the 1600 meter race walk; a second-place pole vault by Alex Taylor-Lash; Finn Davis-Batt’s second-place in the 400-meter dash; John Hassett’s second in the 1600 meter run; and Devlin Valle’s second in the 3200 meter run. The Eagles boys also nabbed third in the 4x100 meter relay. On the girls side, Bella Cimeno took third in the 300 meter hurdles; Alice Dillon placed second in the 800 meter run, and the relay team of Dillon Cimeno, Hanna Jordan and Madison Cole placed second in the 4x800 relay.

Baseball—The Eagles are 11-4 for the season and ranked third, with one game left against Deer Isle-Stonington on June 4. (Score not available by press time.) They will receive a bye in the preliminary round and will play their quarterfinal game at home on June 12 against a team yet to be determined.

Tennis—The boys are ranked second and 10-2 for the season. They play their quarterfinal match on Thursday, June 5, at home against #7 Deer Isle-Stonington. The girls hold the #1 spot, are 10-2 and play a quarterfinal match against #9 Mattanawcook on June 5, with home court advantage.

Baseball: quarterfinals, June 12, home; semifinals June 14, field TBD; Eastern finals June 14; state championships June 21.

Tennis: quarterfinals June 5, home; semifinals and regionals June 7, boys, away; girls, home; state championships June 14.

Track: state championships, June 7, Westbrook High School, Westbrook.
