Peace Ridge Animal Sanctuary in Penobscot is asking for immediate community support to help the organization secure a matching grant. A donor has offered to match every dollar donated to the animal shelter up to $25,000, but the deadline for donations is June 30. This is the first time that Peace Ridge Sanctuary, the Blue Hill Peninsula’s only licensed animal shelter, has been presented with such an opportunity to fund its animal rescue and care operations. Call Peace Ridge for more information at 326-9507. Donations can be made to Peace Ridge Sanctuary and mailed to 653 Back Ridge Road, Penobscot, ME 04476, or online at peaceridgesanctuary.org. Please consider helping us meet this formidable goal for animals in our community.
