Spring sports awards handed out

With the spring sports finally in the books, the spring awards were handed out last week.

Tennis Coach Kim Larsen handed out the following awards: Andrew Turner got Captain’s Award; Megan Weed got Captain’s Award; Allison Cormier got Most Wins Singles; Jordyn Judkins got Most Wins Doubles; Andy Turner got Most Wins Singles; and Paul Zoephal got Most Wins Doubles. Allison Cormier was selected for the PVC Singles Third Team All Stars.

Softball Coach Terry Siebert handed out the following awards: Katie Haskell got Defensive Award and Highest on Base % (.533); Logan Eaton got Defensive Award; Natalie Knowlton got Defensive Award; Morgan Shepard got Slugging Award (12 extra base hits), Highest Batting Average (.410), and Most RBIs (30); Abigail Knowlton got Pitching Award (ERA 1.8 & 95K’s); Allyson Eaton got Coaches Award; Nicole Nolan got Coaches Award; Whitney Brown got Coaches Award; and Ashley Haskell got Rookie of the Year.

Abby Knowlton, Katie Haskell, and Morgan Shepard were selected for the PVC Class D All Star team. Abby Knowlton and Katie Haskell were also chosen for the PVC Class D ALL Academic team.

Baseball Coach Chris Talbot handed out the following awards: Noah Davis got Biggest Turn Around Award; Ethan Shepard got Silver Slugger Award; Zach Ladd got Lt. Steel Toe Leadership Award; and David McManus and Krisford Melanio each got the Jeffery B. Fowler Memorial Sportsmanship Award for outstanding ability, team leadership, and sportsmanship.
