After trailing 14-0 in the first quarter, the Eagle boys came back 46-44 over Piscaquatis on January 21. The win followed a 63-55 loss to Washington Academy on January 17. With six games left in the regular season, the boys need to edge into the top 11 to qualify for the playoffs.

Against #2 Washington Academy, Kelsey Allen led scoring to bring the Eagles within four points with 1:16 left in the game, but Washington was able to convert four out of six foul shots to secure the win. Allen also led against Piscataquis with 16 points.

The girls lost at #11 Washington Academy 48-39 on January 18, with freshman Morgan Duak pacing the Eagles with 15 points. The girls now stand at #12 in the Heal Point standings with a 3-8 record.


The George Stevens Academy Eagles took on Washington Academy at a home game on January 17. Kelsey Allen led scoring to bring the Eagles within four points with 1:16 left in the game, but Washington was able to convert four out of six foul shots to secure the win. Video by Anne Berleant.
