BHMH continues collaboration with Bucksport Regional Health Center

Blue Hill Memorial Hospital and Bucksport Regional Health Center are continuing to develop plans to expand healthcare services in Bucksport, according to a news release from the hospital.

While Bucksport Family Medicine will officially close on February 28, patients of Karen Calcott, MD will be pleased to know that she is relocating to Bucksport Regional Health Center.

BHMH also will begin leasing space on Bucksport Regional Health Center’s campus next month. This location will allow Blue Hill specialists to offer convenient access to Bucksport patients and better integrate with Bucksport Regional Health Center’s providers. By late February, cardiologist Dennis DeSilvey, MD, general surgeon Amy Tan, MD, obstetrician and gynecologist Richard Littlefield, MD, and certified nurse midwife Suzanne Norgang will establish regular office hours at Bucksport Regional Health Center. Referrals and appointments should still be made through their respective offices at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital.

The administrators of both organizations continue to meet regularly to discuss the development of collaborative opportunities such as this. Blue Hill Memorial Hospital’s rehabilitation services now available at 58 Main Street will continue to be offered at that location. Bucksport Rehabilitation may still be reached at 469-3107.

Patients of Bucksport Family Medicine should now call 469-6880 to request that their medical records be transferred to the provider of their choice. For more information or to schedule an appointment for cardiology, women’s health, or general surgery, call 374-3400.
