Blue Hill Memorial Hospital welcomes Tiana Larson, CNM to the Blue Hill Women’s Health Care practice. Larson received a BS in Biology and Anthropology from Western Washington University in 2003 and a BS in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine in 2007. In 2012 she graduated with an MSN in Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in Kentucky. She comes to Blue Hill Memorial Hospital with a wide range of midwifery experiences, including a Rhode Island maternity hospital, a largely Amish-populated Pennsylvania area birth center, and a large New York community hospital. Larson previously spent time with Blue Hill Women’s Health Care during an internship as she was completing requirements for certification.

Larson moved to Surry with her family earlier this summer. In a press release, she describes midwifery as “both a passion and a joy” of hers. “I’m excited to be joining a team known for compassionate, high quality care,” said Larson. She will be providing both well-woman care starting at adolescence as well as full-scope midwifery from prenatal care through birth.

Physicians and certified nurse midwives associated with Blue Hill Women’s Health Care provide prenatal care through Blue Hill Memorial Hospital, and deliver babies at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth or by facilitating home births.
