Spotlight on: “Taste of the Peninsula”
In its eighth year, the annual Foliage Food and Wine Festival celebrates the range and depth of local food and fare over a 10-day span beginning October 11. The signature event is “Taste of the Peninsula,” which throws together food- and fun-lovers with local chefs, purveyors and businesses. Last year, over 600 people attended on both sides of the tasting spoons—including those used in the annual chowder contest. Organized by the Blue Hill Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, the festival offers many events, including a pig roast and auction at the Halcyon Grange in North Blue Hill. See our Community Calendar on page 14 for a full listing.
