Blue Hill’s Ira Berry Lodge #128, the local chapter of the Masons, held the culmination of its annual reading incentive program called Bikes for Books on May 17 in Blue Hill, Brooksville and Sedgwick.

The Masons gave away a total of 14 bikes to students who recorded their reading of books from February to May of this year. After each book was read, students filled out entry forms, which were all chances for a new bike. Masons Sean Walsh, Dennis Rackliffe, Loren Brown, Peter Clapp and Chris Young helped distribute the bikes.

Winners from Blue Hill included Ashton Carter and Tucker Norwood, grade 3; Emily Whiting and Clayton Reynolds, grade 4; and Duncan Howell and Vanessa Sherwood, grade 5.

Winners from Brooksville included Percy Clifford, grade 4 and Cassidy Bulleman, grade 6.

Winners from Sedgwick included Daniel Herrick and Maerea Snow, grade 2 ; Nathan Dauk and Chloe Sheahan, grades 3/4; and Reece Dannenberg and Wanda Gould, grades 5/6.
