The Blue Hill Coyotes edged the defending champion Blue Hill Bombers 7-6 to capture the 2013 Coastal Little League Championship Trophy in a hard fought championship game held in Blue Hill on Father’s Day Sunday, according to a news release from league coaches. The Coyotes rallied in the fourth and fifth innings to overcome a four-run deficit and nip the Bombers in a late inning seesaw scoring battle before nearly 100 cheering fans.

The Coyotes overpowered the Surry Tigers 6-5 in a similarly hard-fought preliminary round on Saturday in Blue Hill while the Bombers entered the final showdown with a decisive win over the younger Blue Hill Black Bears. The Coyotes dominated the regular season league play this year with a 10-2 record.
