Car crash claims life of Sargentville man

by Faith DeAmbrose

Nicholas Boys, 68, of Sargentville died on Friday, September 21, as a result of a single car accident on the Hinckley Ridge Road in Blue Hill.

Boys was traveling southeast in a 1987 Chevrolet station wagon when it drifted across the oncoming lane and off the roadway. According to information provided by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department, the car then “impacted a large tree head on.”

Boys was transported from the scene by Peninsula Ambulance and later died at the hospital.

The accident is being investigated by Sheriff’s Deputy Luke Gross. Gross was assisted at the scene by Lt. Tim Cote, Deputy Christopher Sargent, Blue Hill Volunteer Fire Department and Peninsula Ambulance.
