The Weekly Packet Independence Day deadlines

In observance of Independence Day, the offices of Penobscot Bay Press and The Weekly Packet will be closed Wednesday, July 4. The paper will be mailed and on newsstands Thursday, July 5.

The deadline for Compass news will be Thursday, June 28, at 3 p.m. The Coming Events deadline will be Friday, June 29, at 10 a.m., and the office will close at noon. The deadline for classified and display advertising, news, guest columns and letters to the editor will be Monday, July 2, at 1 p.m. The deadline for Remembrances will be Tuesday, July 3, at 8:30 a.m.
