Sedgwick school board member resigns

Elaine Hutchinson, who was appointed by the Sedgwick School Board to replace Angie Grindal in May, has resigned from the school board effective July 15.

Chairman Clare Grindal said Hutchinson found the time commitments of serving on the school board to be too great, in part due to the time-intensive process of selecting a new Union 76 superintendent.

The school board will appoint a replacement at its July 17 meeting. Those interested in serving on the board can contact any of the board members or send a note to the superintendent’s office in Sargentville.
