by Faith DeAmbrose The Environmental Protection Agency and Maine Department of Environmental Protection have called a meeting to discuss the Callahan Mine Superfund site in Brooksville. According to information from the DEP, there will be an update regarding on-going cleanup efforts of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) contamination and of residential sites, as well as information about a potential change in ownership of the property. Representatives from the Smith Cove Preservation Trust, the owner of record, will be there to answer questions.
