Nomination papers returned, no contested races in Brooksville

by Faith DeAmbrose

The time to take out and return nomination papers for open municipal and school seats in Brooksville has come and gone. Unless there are write-in campaigns, which can be initiated at any time by any citizens of the town, the elections are uncontested.

Darryl Fowler will seek re-election to a three-year term as selectmen.

Amber Bakeman will seek re-election to a one-year term as town clerk.

Yvonne Redman will seek re-election to a one-year term as tax collector.

Freida Peasley will seek re-election to a one-year term as treasurer.

Matt Dow will seek re-election to a one-year position as fire chief.

Mark Blake will seek re-election to a one-year position as road commissioner.

Newcomers Hal Snow and Pamela Storm will appear on the ballot along with incumbent Ruth Robinson to fill three open three-year seats on the town’s budget and advisory committee.

Charles Tarr and Larry Cassis will seek re-election to two three-year seats on the school board.

Don Condon and Christopher Raphael will seek re-election to two three-year seats on the planning board.

Town meeting will be held March 5 and 6.
