by Faith DeAmbrose The time to take out and return nomination papers for open municipal and school seats in Brooksville has come and gone. Unless there are write-in campaigns, which can be initiated at any time by any citizens of the town, the elections are uncontested. Darryl Fowler will seek re-election to a three-year term as selectmen. Amber Bakeman will seek re-election to a one-year term as town clerk. Yvonne Redman will seek re-election to a one-year term as tax collector. Freida Peasley will seek re-election to a one-year term as treasurer. Matt Dow will seek re-election to a one-year position as fire chief. Mark Blake will seek re-election to a one-year position as road commissioner. Newcomers Hal Snow and Pamela Storm will appear on the ballot along with incumbent Ruth Robinson to fill three open three-year seats on the town’s budget and advisory committee. Charles Tarr and Larry Cassis will seek re-election to two three-year seats on the school board. Don Condon and Christopher Raphael will seek re-election to two three-year seats on the planning board. Town meeting will be held March 5 and 6. |
