Local business seeks gifts for children

Salon Verde and Donna Luna Facials & Waxing recently completed a campaign to raise money for the Wreaths Across America program, adding $300 to the effort, according to a news release.

Now, the salon has turned its attention to helping local children with a toy drive. From now until December 10, Tuesday through Saturday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., the salon is accepting new, unwrapped gifts for boys or girls. Staff at the salon will wrap the gifts and deliver them to the Emmaus Center for distribution to needy families. Ideas for gifts are on the Giving Tree in the salon, which received 177 local donations last year and hopes to reach at least 200 this year.

In recognition of the community’s generosity, Verde Salon and Donna Luna are giving donors a chance to win prizes in a raffle. Each gift brought to the salon entitles the giver to one raffle ticket for a variety of salon services and products, including a spa day, a facial, haircut, manicure, creams, lotions and more.
