Opening day for grades 1 to 8: Wednesday, September 5, 8 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. New staff The Bay School is pleased to announce the following additions to our staff for school year 2012-13: Neal Kennerk, Class Teacher: Neal, who most recently taught at the Waldorf School of Louisville, comes to the Bay School with over 10 years of Waldorf teaching experience, as well as six years as a teacher of science, math, geography, art, music and multi-cultural storytelling at the Kentahten Waldorf Teacher Training Institute. He holds a Master’s in Waldorf Education from Antioch University of New England. Elizabeth Bruno, Mathematics Teacher: Bruno, parent of a Bay School alumna and an architect by profession, brings years of experience teaching advanced math concepts to adults under her architectural training and supervision, and now comes to the Bay School to begin her professional teaching life in the discipline of algebra. Diane Fitzgerald, Parent Child Program Teacher: Fitzgerald, founding teacher for the Bay School’s Morning Garden program, is returning to her position after some years away. She carries extensive training and long years of experience in Waldorf kindergarten teaching and parent/child work and will be leading three sessions of the program in the coming year. Cameron Frothingham, Woodworking Teacher: A trained carpenter and boat builder, Frothingham will begin his fifth year as a teacher as he joins the Bay School faculty this fall. His varied teaching and professional experience will round out the Bay School’s specialty program in this new practical arts program the school is launching this year. Bill Gray, Facilities Manager: Gray comes to the Bay School with over a decade spent managing school facilities and brings a wide range of experience and licensed expertise to the administrative team. Betsy Lieser, Administrative Assistant: Lieser holds a degree in communications and will bring to the school’s office team her more than 15 years of experience in the roles of art director, creative director, and project manager of successful design firms and projects large and small.
