Opening day: Tuesday, September 4
School hours: 8:10 a.m.-2:50 p.m.
Number of students: 98
Number of staff: 9 classroom teachers, 6 part-time specialists.

We are hosting a session called Bright Beginnings for students grades K to 5 and their parents on August 30 from 6 to 7 p.m. The PTCO is servings snacks; new staff members will be introduced and bus routes and new schedules will be discussed. Parents and students will have an opportunity to see the classrooms.

Meal prices: Student lunch, $2.55; student reduced lunch, 40¢; adult lunch, $4.85; all other milk, 25¢; student breakfast, $1.50; student reduced breakfast, no charge; adult breakfast, $3.

Sep. 4 - 7: Tue., Toasted cheese sandwich, popcorn, pickles, apples, carrot sticks; Wed., Chicken nuggets, chicken patty, rice, fruit; Thu., Cheesy quesadillas, corn and black bean salad, fruit; Fri., French bread cheese pizza, veggie, fruit.

Sep. 10-14: Mon., Hot dog, bun, chips, veggie, fruit, ice cream sandwich; Tue., French toast sticks, egg patty, hash browns, apple sauce; Wed., chicken Ceasar wrap, carnival pretzel, veggie, fruit, frozen yogurt; Thu., bagel with cream cheese, cucumber, with dip, string cheese, animal crackers, fruit smoothie or juice, Jello with topping; Fri., cheese pizza, veggie, fruit.

Sep. 17-21: Mon., Teriyaki chicken strips, rice, veggie, fruit; Tue., breakfast sandwich on English muffin, tator tots, yogurt, juice; Wed., mac and cheese, roll, butter, veggie, fruit; Thu., chef salad with ham, hard boiled egg, cheese stick, carnival pretzel, Maine blueberry ice cream; Fri., cheese or Hawaiian pizza, veggie, fruit.

Sep. 24-28: Mon., Fish sticks, baked fries, veggie, fruit; Tue., cheddar pretzel poppers, egg salad sandwich, pickles, watermelon, carrot sticks with dip; Wed., sweet and sour meatballs, served with noodles, veggie, fruit; Thu., nacho chips with cheese sauce, bean burritos with cheese, lettuce and salsa; fruit; Fri., cheese stuffed crust pizza, veggie, fruit.

Schedules

Students may arrive at school no sooner than 7:55 a.m. as there is no adult on official duty before that time. Students enter the building upon arrival and may not stay on the playground or in the parking lot.

At 8:10 a.m., assigned students lead the student body in the Pledge of Allegiance and announcements.

11-12, lunches and recesses

2:50 p.m., buses arrive and begin loading

3 p.m., walkers/pick-ups will be dismissed before buses leave.

Using the name’s of last year’s bus drivers (each will be different this year). Please allow five extra minutes as this is a new run. Also, first day usually takes longer.

High school run, Ellsworth and GSA
Judy’s bus:
6:30 start on Toddy Pond
6:45 Surry village
6:50 North Bend Road
arrive at Ellsworth, 7, and GSA at 7:15

Barbara’s bus:
6:30 Newbury Neck
6:40 Cross Road
6:42 Left on Morgan Bay to BH town line
6:45 Turn around back to Rte. 172
Arrive at Ellsworth 7 and GSA at 7:15

Elementary school schedule: To be finalized. Call the school for information.

The school is looking for a soccer coach for grades 5 through 8 for Union 93 intermural league.
