Brooklin School - Back to school information

The first day of school will be Tuesday, September 4. The school day is from 7:50 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Meals
Student lunch (including milk) is $2.05. Reduced lunch is 40¢. Milk is 25¢. All extra/snack milks are 25¢ including those on the free/reduced lunch program.

First week menu: Tues., pizza, broccoli, mixed veggie sticks, rice pilaf, peach, milk, popcorn. Wed., Taco meat and cheese, honey corn bread, taco veggies, corn, apple, milk, juice pop. Thurs., toasted cheese, tomato soup, salad, pineapple and bananas, milk, graham crackers. Fri., barbecue pork on roll, coleslaw, carrots, potato salad, blueberry cake, milk, string cheese.

New staff
Olesia Pazdro is the new K-1 teacher at Brooklin School. She is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington in elementary education with a concentration in visual and performing arts. She did all of her student teaching at Bloomfield Elementary School in Skowhegan.

New School Union 76 school Superintendent

Mark Jenkins, a 25-year veteran principal and teacher, was hired as the new superintendent in June. Jenkins recently served as principal of Fort Fairfield High School for 12 years.

Buses
Students should be out at least five minutes before their pickup time; they should not be running out the door to catch the bus. This throws off the schedule for everyone at subsequent stops. Questions should be directed to Darlene at 348-5237.
