On Wednesday, June 8, the George Stevens Academy boys and girls tennis teams traveled to Colby College in Waterville to play in the Eastern Maine championships.

The GSA girls, coached by Tim Farrar, shut out the Foxcroft Academy Ponies, 5-0, for the victory, while the GSA boys, coached by Mark Messer, won a heated battle with the Orono Red Riots, 3-2, to give the Eagles a double win.

Both teams went to the state championships on Saturday, June 11, and lost to Waynflete at Colby College.
