Brooklin association developing ballfield
The Weekly Packet, Celebrating our 50th year

The alumni association of Brooklin High School is working to provide a ball field to use for Little League and school games.

Using a lot behind the school building deeded to the school about 20 years ago by Miss Lena Flye, the committee has already bulldozed the area. Now it has to be filled in and leveled.

Approximately $900 of the necessary $2,000 has been raised for the project, $400 of which went for the bulldozing. The committee estimates that $1,000 to $1,200 is still needed to complete the project.

Dances to benefit the field development are now being held at the Brooklin high school each Saturday night from 8 to 12. Refreshments are sold during the evening, and dances are complete with live orchestra.

Kenneth Dow, Arno Day, Ralston Means and Merrill Means form the ball field committee.
