Cheryl Allen wins Brooklin spelling bee
The Weekly Packet, Celebrating our 50th year

Cheryl Allen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Allen, won the Brooklin School spelling bee last Wednesday and earned the right to represent Brooklin in the School Union bee.

The Spelling Bee was held in conjunction with the Brooklin Parent-Teacher Association meeting at the high school.

Second place went to Freda Gott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Gott and Suzanne Cousins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Cousins, won third.

Others participating were Vauna Rockwell, Sharon Allen, Joyce Pratt, David Allen, Donna Howard and George Eaton.

Mrs. Winslow Bowden pronounced the words and Mrs. Linwood Carter, Mrs. Arnold Staples and Mrs. James Steel were judges. Prizes were presented by Herbert Bridges, principal.

Election of officers will be the main topic of business when the PTA meets again April 12.
