The Blue Hill Rifle and Pistol Club Sunday won the Maine Gallery Pistol Championship by out-shooting Fort Kent 1,095-1,088 out of a possible 1,200.

The indoor pistol match was held at Hampden. The four-man team brought home the Pine Tree Rifle and Pistol Association traveling trophy and a smaller, permanent trophy. This is the first year the traveling trophy has been given.

Shooting for the Blue Hill club were Donald Clark, Surry; Roger Sargent, Ellsworth; Robert Maddox, Ellsworth; and Wilbur Ricker, Blue Hill.
