Honor students attend banquet
The Weekly Packet, Celebrating our 50th year

Ten seniors from George Stevens Academy attended an honors banquet at Ellsworth High School last Thursday.

Guests were students who received high honors in one or more categories in the National Merit Scholarship Tests given last spring.

Attending from the academy were Sharon Abbott, Willis Burton, Robert Grindle, Forrest Horton, Marjorie McGraw, Edward McKenney, Carol Moon, Priscilla Peirce, Leighton Perkins, and Fred Sprague.

Other schools represented were Deer Isle, Sumner, Mount Desert, Pemetic, Ellsworth, Bucksport and Bar Harbor.
