Students launch Sea Llama
Brooklin School seventh and eighth graders started with some white card stock and an idea and ended up launching Sea Llama on Wednesday, May 23. Led by local firefighters, the entire school community, parents and friends joined in the parade from the school to the Brooklin Boat Yard. Students highlighted what they learned through the process of building the boat while project manager Eric Blake thanked the students for working so hard to see the project through from infancy to buoyancy and the local businesses who donated materials for the project. The students christened the boat with apple cider before climbing on board to sail off into the harbor.
