Close to 100 racers laced up their shoes and turned out for the TradeWinds-sponsored Great Pumpkin 4K on Sunday, September 29. The race course, which began at the grocery store and ended at the Blue Hill Public Library, was primarily downhill snaking across Beech Hill Road, Union Street, High Street, Pleasant Street, Main Street and through the Blue Hill Memorial Hospital parking lot before ending at the library. The road race was a fundraiser for the George Stevens Academy track team. Perry LeBreton finished in first place with a time of 12.51, winning a $100 gas card from TradeWinds.
