Donation presented to Blue Hill Fire Department

John Gandy, left, grange master of the Halcyon Grange in North Blue Hill, presents a check for $225 to Blue Hill Fire Chief Denny Robertson on January 7. The contribution came from donations to the fire house refreshment table during Last Night! festivities. Grange member Becky Wentworth organized the food—baked goods contributed by Flash in the Pan and community and grange members—and staffed the table with grange members Laura Livingston, Juni Charlton and Rona Gandy. Wentworth also provided a unique contribution to the refreshments: homemade baked beans, “which were a big hit,” said Gandy.
