Sliding into the school year at Sedgwick Elementary

Sliding into the school year at Sedgwick Elementary

On Monday, September 10, Sedgwick Elementary staff, students and their families celebrated the start of the school year with a PTF-sponsored Back to School Night. The event included door prizes, ice cream sundaes and a giant inflatable slide. In order to be eligible for the door prizes, slide and sundaes, students and their parents had to visit with every teacher and get them to sign off on a card that was then used to gain access to the goodies. About 75 percent of the families with children in the school were in attendance, according to Principal Donald Buckingham. The event was organized by Michelle Keyo, Michele Gower and Jennifer Gray.
