Brooklin Boston Post Cane finds new home
On Tuesday, April 30, 99-year-old Ernest Hildebrant of Brooklin became the new holder of the town’s Boston Post Cane. Awarded to the oldest living resident in the town, the cane has gone through several homes in the community for many decades. Hildebrant received the cane in a quiet ceremony at his home on River Road, with his daughter Alice and selectmen Deborah Brewster and David Reiley.
