Class of 2019 promoted at Broooklin School
Three eighth grade students from the Brooklin school, Cyrus Blake, Jenna Blodgett and Whitney Torrey graduated on Thursday, June 20. At least 80 people were in attendance including family members and friends. The guest speaker was Louanne Munson. Each student had the opportunity to address those in attendance and to reflect on their past years growing up. Teachers also shared their experiences working with each student. The ceremony ended with a slide show of each of the 8th graders, growing over the years. Refreshments, a potluck and deserts were served after the ceremony. Awards presented: Sealander Family Award, Jenna Blodgett; Secretary of State’s Eighth Grade Citizenship Award, Cyrus Blake; Brooklin Education Award, Whitney Torrey; Maurice Sellers Academic Achievement Award, each student was presented with the monetary award; Books from the Brooklin Keeping Society, Each student received a book.

Each member of the 8th grade class of 2019 was presented with a compass. Students were encouraged by teacher Mrs. Bebell to remember their home, where their dreams took root.
