Trash brigade cleans up

With trash bags in hand residents of Blue Hill took to the streets—literally. April 29, a town-wide clean up organized by Blue Hill Cares, a project of Vaughn Leach of BHD Containers and Chrissy Allen, saw over 400 participants picking up 3.5 tons of trash (weighed at the transfer station) with every major road and most minor roads accounted for. A number of local business and students from area schools participated. There are still stretches of road that need work, say organizers. If folks missed this weekend’s event they can reach out to bluehillcares@gmail.com or contact Vaughn or Chrissy for more information.
