A snowy end to 2012!

With back-to-back snowstorms on December 27 and 29, the Blue Hill Peninsula was hit with close to two feet of snow, blanketing roadways and providing much entertainment for students who were out of school for the week. The snowfall tallies are close to already surpassing last winter’s totals and kept folks busy shoveling (and shoveling again) as they ushered in the New Year.

Clearing and removing snow from the streets

Blue Hill’s road commissioner and his staff worked many hours clearing and removing snow from the streets and sidewalks ahead of the town’s Last Night! celebration on New Year’s Eve.
