The Eagles golf team placed fourth out of 11 teams in the state championships at the 18-hole Arrowhead course at Natanis on October 6. “All week we talked about playing as a team,” said Coach Dwayne Carter. “I was happy with their accomplishment.” Team members Jasper Adam, Alex Heilner, Brett Ingraham, Joe Maier and C.J. Chen, above left, finished with a score of 355, behind first-place winner St. Dominic, followed by Houlton and Winthrop. Deer Isle-Stonington rounded out the top five finishers.

Senior Sam Stankhe placed second at a meet held at Bucksport on October 5. The team had a strong showing as well, and looks good for post season, which begins October 15 with the Penobscot Valley Conference at Ellsworth.
