Helping hands at the 24th annual Community Food Drive

Kindergarten and fifth-grade students

Kindergarten and fifth-grade students sort nonperishable food items prior to delivering them to The Blueberry Broadcasting Food Drive. Surry Elementary School collected 304 items to donate this year.

Lisa Veazie, left, and Krystal Wasson of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust collect donations outside of TradeWinds Marketplace in Blue Hill during the bank’s 24th annual Community Food Drive in partnership with Classic Hits I-95 to help stock the shelves of local food pantries. More than 2,800 food items and over $1,900 were collected for and delivered to local food pantries prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.
