GSA cheerleaders say, "Yes, yes, yes we do…"

Despite an unfortunate setback less than 48 hours before the East-West Cheerleading Regionals on Saturday, January 28, the Eagles cheering squad achieved their goal of improving on their 2011 score. On Thursday before the competition, three girls were taken off the 10-person squad due to poor grades. “It was quite hectic,” said cheering coach Jessica DeWitt. The team had to re-do their routine for seven girls, and practice it. “Forty-eight hours is not enough time,” said DeWitt. “They did the best they could, and improved their score by 17 points over last year.” The Eagles placed 12th out of 12 teams.
