Take a break, find a new delight, refill your spice rack or supplement supply. At the Co-op, you can do all of this and much more. It is a gem of a grocery store, with friendly, expert staff and over 900 active owners who share in the profits and elect the store’s Board of Directors.

The store is an organic, local, non-GMO oasis, with over 10,000 items from Maine and away. Supporting the wants and needs of the community it serves, the Co-operative grocery is constantly improving its offerings and supplying what you need for health and wellness.

You can order quantities and stock up for the whole summer or supply your weekend excursion. You can buy 5 bay leaves, wonderful fresh ground coffee, gluten free desserts and sushi making supplies. It’s hard to beat the selection, service and scale of the Blue Hill Cooperative Grocery.

If you have a list of things handy, or just a sense of hunger for food that is ‘real,’ the co-op is an excellent place to stop in, and browse. You’ll find local veggies fresh from the farm, un-pasteurized milk, fresh bread, wonderful cheese and meats, ice-cream, ethnic foods, cereals, crackers and cold drinks.

Beer , wine , and kombucha are also available in good selection. And don’t miss the hot coffee & tea and deli in the Cafe. You can get the New York Times, and other papers, a nice head of lettuce, some local garlic and locally made granola.

For your time and money, the Co-op is a grocery store and so much more.

It’s a resource, a refuge and a great place for those concerned with sustainable living. The folks who shop there and work there are all happy to share their knowledge and recipes, their time and passion. It’s truly a community hub.
